Dare the Flower

Folder:
Early Years

Muffled silent, winter night

Aglow with soft surface bright,

Fills the air that’s still around me

Frozen white, smallest flowers…

So delicate were these

They melted at the touch of me,

And because I could not take them

The more precious they seemed to be.

I’m longing for tomorrow

And a flower I can hold,

Its sweet scent to borrow

And its petals to adore

Flowing art, and wild colors

With her these things I’ll share

But now I sit impatient

And wait for a flower who will dare.
