Eternity is forever,

and yet we rarely give it much thought.

Instead, we selfishly prefer

to think about the tiny dot

on the otherwise clean page.

If Christ, in conversation, we'd engage;

then Our fears, they would be assuaged.

This is known by the humble sage.

He scribbles it upon life's not so clean page.

We rarely give eternity much thought,

we concentrate on life here on earth.

We think about the tiny dot.

In fleeting moments, we find mirth.

But, these are not the thoughts of the sage.

We concentrate on life here on earth

giving no thought to eternal life.

In fleeting moments, we seek mirth.

If we'd realize how important is the afterlife.

Our fears, they would be assuaged
