You dream about someone smart and sweet.
The next day you meet a fuck up off the street.
You say he has potential and he will change.
Your relationship with him causes us to become distant and you start acting strange.
Then we stop talking and your too tired to meet.
The day he hurts you he's in for a treat.
I'll unhinge his mind and remove his toes.
He'll never be able to walk towards you again, and I'll always know.

I'll hold you tight, and laugh at the signs you never hear.
I'll be there forever and for always, while they come now and again.

That whole first stanza blew
That whole first stanza blew me away bt that last line (only because i believe powerful poems should be the the ones hanging on that last punch in the face twist or revelation), if that was slightly rephrased you'd have an absolute gem here! Loved it minus the prior :)
