Escape

The deflied white cotton  hangs loosly from there frail bodies as they walk, bare footed, down the mudy path.

Heading for thier siver beds, where the sun never rises and the stars never fade into the light.

Singing a song of the children that only they can here.

"No more harm can come to you, if you are a sleep on the moon."

Frost bitten and tired, Two ashe blonds look up to the sky.

The midnight colors play across there faces and they smile into to the horizon.

Almost there, is the only thought that runs through there mind.

"Soon we will be safe."

Leaves whirl around there feet, dancing to the music of the wind.

Branches are cracking, over powwered by the ice of the storm.

Winter turns the there pale faces to blue as the children sleep in the confort of the snow.

Two babies curled together, frozen and never breaking, is all the sun finds in the morning.
