To lose in quiet exhale

Of dreams rehearsed

If I don't sigh of things this

Earth provides and bears

For me to dance

If I don't play my song loud enough

For you to hear over the

Passing of seasons

Remember me as poet

Remember me as friend

Remember me.



And if I whither away to a broken whisper

Losing my step and leaving

Only faded footprints behind

If my voice is lost in the cloudless forever

Of another dreamer

Heard only as the noise of expression

If I don't write my feel and

Feel to weak to make the

People sing

Remember me as orator

Remember me as brother

Remember me.
