How can I explain in words what you mean to me?

My barrier has crumbled for the last time.

Betrayal will no longer cross my path.

My heart will no longer ache for that feeling of contentment.

My head no longer reels with the thought of how the day will go.

I no longer care what people think.

For these things, I thank you.



You’ve chanced my course, you’ve and passed the test.

So loyal are you, that I can bear the world.

So uplifting are you, that I can now smile with the mention of your name.

Such a friend are you, that I am no longer

afraid to embrace what this world has in store.

For these things, I thank you.



For every tear I’ve shed…

For every sense of laughter I’ve felt…

I thank you.



For every want that’s been fulfilled…

For every morning that I’ve awoken, still breathing…

I thank you.



Complexity is what I know best of, but you make things so simple.

I used to isolate my feelings from people, but not now.

You make it impossible to feel alone.

For you never leave my side.

For these things, I thank you.



Neither person, nor thing, could keep me from enjoying your company.

You make it impossible to want to cry.

For with you, nothing but laughter is encouraged.

You make it impossible to keep a secret.

For you are so deserving of the truth.

You make it impossible to be blind.

For with you, the world is seen anew.
