Safe and sound.
Quiet and warm.
Once a living atmosphere.
No longer... for it's now one from which I run.
I delve into the sacred forests.
So rich and deep.
So full of the unknown.
Vampires with their pungent fangs.
Werewolves with pelts of midnight.
Dragons with wings flying effortlessly and ever so free.
Elves of purity, grace, and soft caress.
Dark elves of mischief, torture, and pain.
Witches with bubbling cauldrons, their cackles uprising.
Dwarves of utmost stature and brute personality.
So many creatures that most take for their worst.
However, it goes unrealized that the life within these creatures has far more value than we could ever imagine.
Fantasy worlds envelope me in their grasp.
The ground becomes hard beneath my feet.
The moon rises so high in my eyes.
The stars grow so bright, they begin to burst.
Winds begin blowing through my hair.
Leaves begin rustling around me.
Branches begin scratching at my face.
Distant sounds now become so clear.
A rough chase breaks through my shallow breaths.
Restless panting.
Fierce growling.
Blood profusely dripping.
They're screaming my name.
They're calling for me.
What I've once wished for is now coming quickly to me.
I can feel the chills on the back of my neck.
My hair standing on end.
My skin feels detachable.
My life... more desirable.
Tripping over thoughts, I stumble.
Tumbling over and over again into the lake of oblivion.
Pain so steadfast overwhelming me... vomit in my throat.
Then... finally, peace.
A forsaken peace.
A hunger for the supernatural now satisfied.
An appetite for new life now replenished.
I am one with many.
I am their link to the mortal world.
I got what I wished for.
But is it really what I wanted?
Wow, out of the few I just read, I like the detail in this one alot, its different, and different requires talent, that you have. I'll read more tomorrow, but tonight....I need sleep
