Dreams long forgotten,
A love long gone-
Years passed in the blink of an eye,
Now that you're back in my life, we're both asking why.
Why did we let go?
Why did we loose touch,
Can it all begin again,
Or is it once again destined for the end?
Has love survived all these years?
Or is it all headed for another heartache?
Has it survived the changes we've both went through?
Am I still me, and you still you?
Sweet and innocent we are no more.
Life has changed us both,
The years have aged our hearts,
Years have drifted us apart.
Once, so very long ago, you were my everything.
I loved you the way only two kids could love.
I've wondered many times what could have been,
Now I wonder where it all will end.
Dreams long lost,
A love long forgotten,
Two souls who found their way back to where they let go,
Where this is headed, that, I just don't know.
