Today we say good-bye,

Not forever, just until it's time again for hello.

But until hello, I'll lie in this bed alone-

Longing for you at  my side.

I'll dry the tears that fall,

And silence the terrible dread in my heart.

I'll think of you every second of every day.

I'll remember the good times and hope that more are soon to come.

I'll recall the wedding vows made that rainy November day,

And pray that you'll cherish me until "death do us part."

Perhaps abcence does make the heart grow fonder,

But every second without you will kill me a little each day.

Be safe and know I'm at home waiting for you,

Know each day we're apart will feel like an eternity in Hell.

Each week another chapter in my worst nightmare.

I love you and I'll be home when you return to me,

My arms eagerly awaiting your touch.

So until hello, I guess this is goodbye.
