What is coming, around the bend
I regret, for you and me
It's time to make amends
Blood trickles down like rain
The pain, slowly numbs
Your vision drifts away
To the darkness, you succumb
With your breath slowly tiring,
I look you in the eyes
Knowing it's the last time
Because you face your own demise
I sit there, right beside you
