Our Eternal Soul
Who will know of your eternal soul
The few left behind
With only brevity of time
O soul of life and meaning
An existing collection of our being
Is forever on its voyage of seeking
Soul does wander endlessly
Cannot adhere to a place or time
A thwarting muse of yours and mine
Soul may not ever return
Cannot shout or cry or learn
Despite profound intensity of our yearn
O dear soul, you enrage me to no end
Wishing to control your chaotic wend
Rethinking your elusive immortality
O dear and precious soul without a vision
Cannot embrace with philosophy or wisdom
Only faith is your keeper and thus your seeker
