Oh, heavenly Father, You are Creator and Destroyer. By Your hands, is romance laid before us. Let us not neglect the gifts You've given us. For, quickly... swiftly, they disappear. Tonight Lord, lay this love to rest. I give thanks and praise Lord, that however brief, seemingly terse I enjoyed Your blessing through this woman. She was a beautiful sight, Lord. She held me and comforted me. She called me "hero". She made me important to her. She was special, Lord. But, she lost faith in the gift You gave her. She gave up on the pillar that You set beside her to lean on. She walked away, Lord. Yet, comfort her still, Lord. Cast me aside instead. Amen.
