Lachrymose 1661

The world today in disarray

I beg the ache to dissipate

Unknown to them the children play

The heart grows cold and learns to hate

Inside my mind a cocoon I find

No sound no sight, but only light

The place I go inside my mind

Eats up the time deep into night

The images I see I weep

Happiness will someday change

And later utter not a peep

The expression seen by her so strange

Clair I need you ever strong

Together is our family bond

As every day I truly long

Freeze the moment, wave the wand.

Author's Notes/Comments:

The degradation of society is cyclical. Generational unity is siesmic. It's the little things and the joyful times that should transend time and never end. I weep sometimes knowing that I can never be in that exact moment again.
