In my kingdom- let you know
that in your absence things must grow
weeds and flowers intertwine
intermingled in this mind
forced to vacate simple home
you became the thing unknown
Throughout this jungle,we must face
The things we find that cause distaste
Forever feeling left and lone
Within ourselves we're lost and tired
Wading through the self delusion
Learning love's a sick illusion
Though illusion for you, for me perhaps too
It was a well thought out tangle
My only hope of survival
In this twisted maze of gripping vines
I used to call love
You were always welcome back
Though you did not take the chance
That it was meant to be
You chose to hide your soul
As if you had control
Of your emotions as well as mine
For mine you always had
And continue to withhold
From the palace we built so long ago
You being their rightful owner
I have no complaint.
I think of you every day
And wonder why all you understand
Is my lust for you, though there is more
At one piont you seemed to, that hour has passed
But every minute of every day
I await for your return
To our hidden kingdom
For you are the only one
Fit to coexist deep within my soul
As you already do.
It's a stupid dream;
but it's the only one I know.
