Day and night they fight for me
Like two lambs to the slaughter
Day holds me down
With words on paper
Day fights with anger and daughter
Day and night both fight for me
Like children at the park
Night lifts me up high
With moments of truth
Night fights with the emptiness of the dark
Day and night they both love me
And fight for what they love
Day clings and hurts
Night doesn't and worse
But neither learn to rise above
get rid of the but on the last line and that will fix it a great deal lol. I actually really do like this one.
I wish it was longer
