Your Angel
Lifting me up, I soar above the clouds holding your hand I lift you off the ground. Looking in your eyes, reflecting the starlight from the sky, I lift you above the moon. You call me your angel though I’m nothing special, I’m just a normal man. You’re the angelic one though you think I am, for you gave me the wings to fly. So I lift you up high, over the stars To let you see how I see the world the way I see the world, using the wings you gave me to fly. Lifting up higher, the pain getting farther, the world no longer around I take you away, and set you free as the wings I don’t need to strain spread out in an elegant glide. Wings made from the love of us both taken and torn and given back by others undeserving, now come back together a the love pure and true gives us a new hope. Gliding away with you on the wings you gave me, I’ll takes us away from the world. You say I’m your angel but I’m just a man you gave me the wings to fly…
