Here I am again
My faults all too clear
Yelling at me
screaming at me
You are nothing
worthless
pathetic
stupid
ugly
and broken..
Who would want you?
your family won't want you
no one will want you
So go hide
hide your imperfections
hide it all with a smile
Put on your mask
no one can know
you can't let them know
They won't understand
they will only judge you
Responding with words refuting your own
downplaying your feelings
So how can you trust them?
Don't trust them
they will only betray you
Your tears you must hide
keep them locked inside
drying inside your heart
A little salt never hurt
salt in the wound
There is no one to turn to
so simply despair
you can handle it on your own
simply alone
But I don't have to
there is always one to turn to
He is by my side
arms open wide
His words are never wrong
there for when I'm not strong
Knowing all my needs
He provides friends for me
All with their own purpose
He asks, "How can they know?"
you never let it show
Open your eyes
remove the mask
show them your face
Trust them
they can help you
