The fireworks cut through the sky

All mopey and hopeless

The stars have left the darkness

Leaving behind, for us

To turn away frightened

By the sheer infinity

The infinity we will never have

Or the infinity we will have

In the emptiness

That is how I feel I said

I feel like the darkness,

The stars have gone

And I am eternally here

Infinite in the dark

That is what I said

And no one but the dark
