A Woman Who Haunts My Dreams

The first sounds of her peaceful voice

were like whispers from a cherub, soft

confident and formidable. Although my inner Chi

sensed some vulnerabilities. Still, she made me

feel like Siddhartha, cradled within a Lotus

in a room without corners. Saturated by her

thoughts and promises; consoling words that took

me without a choice to resist. Feeling safe, pampered

and soothed, like a coddled newborn attached

to a breast, suckling his first taste of warm,

mother's milk. Briefly the Native Indian Goddess Tozi

who summons you to her deer skin wigwam,

as you inhale Peyote waiting for the fire

dance to begin. Hallucinations and veracity fuse

wondering how she controls your own words,

vowing pleasures sweet as Patchouli incense. Like

a Karma Sutra princess one can only see with a third

eye. Rapture from a distance, hot as an awe-inspiring

stallion running in the sun. This alluring woman who

could make men jump unclothed into snow if they

dare one thought of her. Visions growling thunderous

as a cougar when hunting buffalo. She consumes

you. Starving your doubts, and seducing your macho

valor like a speech from the immortal Rani Laxmibai,

as you chase her into reveries that slaughter

your virility because at heart you envy both her body

and soul. You now lay face to face with an amorous,

carnal lady that you cannot covet, nor keep without

end. A magical child of light, apparition of dreams

where you embrace her nude, but only if she wishes

for an evanescent moment. Twinkles of erotic passion

that can only survive in your memory. Split transfers

of euphoria steering you into seventh heaven

where you flash glimpse paradise. Wanting her, if

only for a second where you can savor the verve

from a female Deity. Venus of wonderment, ecstasy

and utopia; what gifts have the sea and eternal sky

given you? Infinities of discernment are nakedly

modest compared to what this lady knows. Nonetheless

how auspicious the man she allows to look into her

eyes, glance deep within her spirit, and then surrenders

respectfully as he humbly beseeches … teach me.
