Pray

Folder:
Sonnets

A Face of beauty but a Heart of stone,

With a perfect body and luscious lips.

You are one to fool right down to the bone,

You seem to be angry, your white arm drips.

Amongst the people and the world, you fade,

Fade to the darkness, the cold, the lonely.

You could have believed, You could have just prayed,

I start to feel love and think, if only.

What would have happened if I wasn't there?

What would you have done if you had a brain?

Would it be better, would you even care?

You leave me on this earth to go insane.

If you knew what love was I'd point the way,

But you cared for no-one, now you should pray.
