All day i was on the horses of the wind
Traveled the world looking for flower for health, eternal
To my beloved
I look at my island and all the islands
Ask the vast ocean
If it was hidden in the depths of his heart
Among the corals
Or in the foam of the waves
We approached the legendary mountains right through the continents
Those old sages, denizens of untold stories
Just smiled, his eyes deep silence
The flower was not, even in their caves
Neither extinct volcanoes or flaming
Neither in the rivers
We went to every town
Some almost empty, others crowded
But no one knew of this flower
They did not know
The rain and clouds were told
no!
The camel, dog and all the animals
They said
No!
The wind took me to the desert
And so empty and so quiet
My voice broke
My arms were opened
My body became dust
And was born
The flower of eternal health
I was looking

Recorria el mundo buscando flor para la salud, eterna

Yo busque en mi isla y en todas las islas
Pregunte al oceano vasto
Si estaba escondida en la profundidad de su corazon
Entre los corales
O en la espuma de las olas
Nos acercamos a las legendarias montanas atravez de los continentes
Aquellos viejos sabios, moradores de historias no contadas
Solo sonrieron, con sus ojos de silencio profundo
La flor no estaba, ni aun en sus cavernas
Ni los volcanes apagados o flameantes
Ni en los rios
Entramos a cada ciudad
Algunas casi vacias, otras atestadas
Pero nadie sabia de tal flor
No sabian
La lluvia y las nubes dijeron
no!
El camello , el perro y todos los animales
Dijeron
No!
El viento me llevo a los desiertos
Y de tanto vacio y tanto silencio
Mi voz se quebro
Mis brazos se abrieron
Mi cuerpo se hizo polvo
Y nacio
La flor de la salud eterna
Que yo buscaba
Para ti
