They brought me into the web

With kindness and what appeared to be love.



They kept me in the web with

Lies, deception and imprisonment by brainwashing.



I got one strand of the web off during the summer

When I didn’t show up one day.



That evening the strand was put

Back stronger, so I couldn’t get away again.



I finally broke away from the web at

The beginning of the new year



I fought with my arms, emotions, and finally

Got out. Never to be caught in the web again.
