TO RIGHT THE WRONG

To right the wrong I took a stand

I stood shoulder to shoulder hand in hand

To right the wrong I gave up my privacy

Yet in that moment I lost all intimacy

To right the wrong you saw my scars

The tears of despair cried deep in my heart

To right the wrong I removed the mask

Subjecting myself to questions no one should be asked

To right the I spend each and every day

Taking the attacks then turning away.
