I remember the day I finally spoke

the day I walked up to him, smiled

then as I took his hand in mine

looked into his eyes, saw his soul.



As I held his hand, my heart racing,

lips trembling, I took a deep breathe

and said " I love you " .

I felt so much better when he knew.



He stood there looking at me,

for a second, minute he said nothing

so as I turned and walked away,

he shouted "I love you " .



Forever that moment will stay,

not only in my heart, but in my soul.

The way he looked, felt, even smelled.

Because you never forget when you meet your soul mate.

There has only ever been one moment

I remember the exact second,

she walked up to me and took my hand

I was so scared,  I felt numb and weak.



She stood there in her perfect way,

soft gentle hair caressing her face,

deep blue eyes, Thats when she uttered,

those special words. "I love you " .



I have waited so long to hear those words,

When she told me I froze, couldn't speak.

As she walked away I saw it all flash by,

I shouted "I love you" hopeing she heard.



Then as she stopped walking, turned calmly

showing her beautiful smile with amazing grace,

her hair moving gently, lips the darkest pink,

she blew me a kiss, smiled and waved goodbye.



As I waved, turned around to walk away,

With all my heart and love, I hoped to god

The loudest screech of tyres, horn going,

heart renching screams, that it wasnt her blood.



I reached the corner in shock, as it hit me,

Like a knife to my chest, my heart felt cold,

My knees had been takin from under me,

I sat next to her on the cold, hard, ground.

I will never forget the day I told him,

Since then he has never been the same,

I wish he could see me, I know he can feel me,

Yet now all I can do is watch over him.



I can sit and watch him live his life

do all the things that we could have, together.

I can just help him & show him the way,

Be what I am supposed to be : His Guardian Angel.
