There are times when I know

That the darkness follows me

When I know that there is hope

I’ve been wrong and I’ve been down

But I’m not having fun yet

There is no escape for me

The darkness follows me and calls to me

Wanting to consume me

To take what I have left

And make it a whole

To make me stronger

So I can hold my head up higher than before
