Where does your anger spawn from
Martyr Me?
Where on this green earth
Is it buried when it dies?
Why over the number of years
Have grudges been set in stone
Against people you knew
Who didn't think like you do
And the ones amoung us now who don't?
Martyr Me
You're not quite seeing
The big picture here.
There's a complex you have,
Developed back when you were learning
And when you were yearning for
Just one good fuck,
To be huge.
But you weren't and you never would be
So you decided to play coy, get rough, and be mean
They say that it passes in time
And it does
But for you it's just started, well you're late
It's because
You've wasted your youth on long standing regret
Looking back on it now there's nothing to accept
You've followed the trends and fallen into the holes
Martyr Me.
Please believe that those holes aren't well known
They're not sought out
Or wrought out
And hardly we're brought out
In circles we walk round the edges of them
It's a shame that your brain
Didn't tell you stop
Didn't tell you freeze
Didn't tell you to drop
The pursuit of your victim
With malice and spite
Now the pain that you feel is the pain that we fight
Martyr Me.
Martyr Me.
Martyr Me.
