I've Missed You

I've missed you.

I wondered where you were.

You usually come around this time.

But then I wasn't so sure.

Because he wasn't exactly like you.

Though he made me feel the same.

But I said I really missed you.

Can't you call me by name?

You usually disappear this time.

But this one's smarter than those.

He's running before I trip this time.

But you know how the story goes.

Another soon to take his place.

And you can go be a ghost.

And when he hurts me just like you.

That's when I'll need you most.

And I'll cry on your missing shoulder.

And you'll be the man you were.

Once when I was so innocent.

Back when I wasn't so sure.

I'd scream you into the closet.

Like you did to me that time.

But then you died some hours more.

And everything was fine.

I'm lying when I say these things.

You never made things right.

You left your money and your clothes.

But I still can't sleep at nite.

I told you, I have missed you.

Don't you care for me?

Since they can't keep you away for good.

I'll swim this misery.

And you can keep me company.

Till another comes along.

And you can go away for awhile.

Until I sing our song.
