He takes my breath

I try to take his

But I never thought

It’d end up like this

You say you’ve forgotten

What never could be

But sadly I remember

All that I’ve seen

This blood in my mouth

Once given to me

But it was only a game

I thought I could beat.

You’d take from this heart?

You’d take this from me?!

All that I’ve wanted

And pretended to be

You take in one instant

And throw it away

I still have your blood

I drink to this day.
