Lionel's end of the world

Lionel’s end of the world

It was a sunny day and the sky looked great for everybody until it started to get all dark and gray, the ground started shaking and the wind started blowing with a lot of strength. Everything seem scary so all the animal started running in order for them to survive. The world was collapsing and the animals were collapsing too. A lion named Lionel was running away from the disaster looking for shelter. Lionel ran as fast he could until he found a cave and stayed there until the world ended. Lionel was alone and sad, afraid of going out of the cave. He started to feel hungry so he decided to go out of the cave and look for something to eat. The world was a mess. Everything was destroyed and nobody was alive. Everything seemed so lonely and Lionel felt like he was the only one alive in the world. Lionel kept looking for food for an entire day until he heard something moving behind the bushes. Lionel was surprised and ready to attack that thing that was moving behind the bushes. Was it a human? Was it another animal? Or was it something else? Lionel didn’t know but what he did know was that he was ready to eat that living thing. Suddenly, a deer jumped out of the bushes and Lionel started chasing him. Finally Lionel reached the deer and just before Lionel attacked his victim he realized that if he ate that deer he would be alone in what was left of the world.

“Please, don’t eat me” said the deer with nervous voice.

“I wont. What’s your name?” said Lionel.

“My name is Andy. Who are you? ” said the deer.

“’I’m Lionel. Are you alone or is someone else still alive?” said Lionel

“I’m alone. I was looking for the rest of my family until you found me” said Andy

After introducing themselves, Lionel realized that he needed a companion in order to survive, and so he did. Lionel and Andy became great friends and they stayed together through this rough time. They were both starving so they decided to work as a team in order to fin food. After walking long distances and waiting a couple of hours they finally found some food and a place to live. This place seemed prettier than the place they where and also food was more accessible in this new place. The night arrives and just before sleeping Lionel started to meditate and realized that his patience and his perseverance led him into something better, something he called a friendship. If he had ate Andy from the minute he saw him we would obviously calmed his hunger by that time, but maybe a few days later he would die of loneliness. In life we should all have Lionel’s patience and perseverance when we are going through a rough time because in the end everything will work out if you persevere.
