A silent story waiting to unfold
A quiet man just waiting to take hold
Standing up once again
Trying to fight the wind
Pushing through with all his might
Hoping to make it through the dark and lonely night
Tried so hard to keep alive a faith
But there were too many unanswered questions in his face
So he thought he lost it all but couldn’t stop now
He knew there was a way out; he just had to find how
But now his answer is all too clear
As he succumbs to his fear
And gives in to a saccharine death
He was bad even at his best
So he takes his dive into the world below
Taking the path he swore he would never go
His goodbyes and apologies echo forever
But will never reach the ears of another
