I open my heart warmly
As I gaze at the darkening sky,
Watching all the colors change.
The sun sets so slowly
As daytime draws to an end
And I watch my memories fade away.
I gently close my eyes
As I start to dream of tomorrow,
And the new sun that will rise up.
Each day a new memory forms
Each day they are of you,
Of the one who created me.
Once again, staring at the sky,
The sun setting so slowly,
And I think of all you've created.
You've formed my world, my dreams, and wishes
And you've given me this lovely life.
