I was sitting back trying to find the words

The divine right that haunts my dreams

I guess it justifies the secrets I keep

But lately it appears nothing is as it seems



I can't think too long on lost butterflies

The angels keep singing to me that chorus

It distracts me from the rain for a while

It'll never be the same without your voice



Give yourself to your dreams

Take to the sky on golden wings

Take hope and then give it life

Live and dance just don't ask why



I can't allow you to cry anymore

Let me be the light that lets you soar

And as the fires burn away the pain

All I ask is that you set me free again



I can't find my peace with these broken wings

Can't see past you even though I've been blind

Warmth untold and yet the wind feels so cold

I guess the embrace is lost in the back of my mind



It's lost in the garden surrounded by the thorns

Searching for a rose that could never compare

So the blood it pricks keeps me out of the storm

As the waterfall seems to wash away all my cares

White wine and roses lost in the waterfall

Shimmering light almost blinding to the eye

Morning's warm touch, night's deep embrace

Coupled with dreams of an unlimited night sky



The gift of heaven's something we could enjoy

Lost in our own world drifting further away

My hand to your face and then we realized

Reality is a dream that we both have to face
