I'm dying slowly as I stare blindly into this empty void
Lost in darkness and captivated by this world destroyed
In shadows hiding, admiring the embers she emanates
As she dances in manners which only fragments relate
Sparkles of light in my mind forgetting who I've been
In lonely nights abandoning the memories of my sins
Pale and soft born of beauty and bathed in my desires
She dances to the rhythm of a heart's purest fires
Inadequacy to the perfection I envision reflected
These broken dreams that chosen few suspected
So in shadows, in embers, in the blood from my veins
She dances in memories locked inside my brain
As night is cast aside by the dawn's warm embrace
My eyes pay privy to the ethereal visions of her face
The darkest fantasies that these fragments may muster
As she dances in the velvet clouds by comparison lackluster
