Now I have seen some tragedies,
That I could not control,
But the single greatest of them all,
Involved a woman I let go,

She was far beyond amazing,
Like no other that I've known,
Her eyes glistened like starlight,
And her smile just felt like home,

She took my heart to places,
That it had never known before,
And then shattered it to pieces,
When she walked out of that door.

In a twist of fate and fortune,
After two long years in time,
She reappeared, with my heart,
And sent my soul back up to shine,

I tried to heed the lessons,
And keep this angel in my life,
But as all the stories go,
It ends tonight in strife,

Now I know that I'm not perfect,
But I swear this much is true,
Until my final dying breath,
This heart only bleeds for you.
