Jean Claude, Vampyre

.

I am readng vampire tales;

avoiding non-fiction brought

me to this acceptable form

of red and gore and body parts

as entertainment. To distract,

to immerse the mind in an

exqusite dark.

.

Beauty in black and white

as a thematic choice, red

sheeted for contrast, here

the Master of the City

drips from pen to page,

materializes as too lovely

to be ignored, too powerful

from experienced centuries,

a sweetie.

.

In love, surrounded by more

magic than should be allowed,

he succumbs to whimsy, to wit

and smiles, breaking hearts

of humans everywhere. Ma Petite

has proven a sorceress who

raises the dead as a career, who

slays monsters. How could he

not love and trust her?

.

Lady A
