I saw a vision of a life
It wasn't glamour
Not fame or fortune
Not big houses or planes
It was her.
Her holding a baby
And looking up and smiling at me.
It was unequivocally simple
Yet radiant and shined
More than everything good in my life
Put together.
A vision like a sunset
Unimaginably beautiful
Indescribable and breathtaking
Yet insufferably fast
It flashed and then was no more
And all I was left with was the dark
My sunshine has all but faded
And all I could do is remember
Remember the faint moment
That it shined.
