My grandma, the best artist of the world, does stained glass windows for the most beautiful churches. They make the sun shine in all of their beautiful colors and shapes, a masterpiece. From brown to pink, blue, and purple. She can surprise you either with an abstract symbolic message, to the prettiest Christ images as in most churches. My grandmother is a real artist since I can remember a very good one. It started as a hobby and ended as the best part of her life. It’s probably one big part of my life too, since I love art and set her as an example. She has taught me so much, even though I prefer painting, I’ve learned what she does, not as well, but I’m pretty good. The best part of all is what she shares with me. She is probably the person that has gone to more museums in the world; of course she never forgets to take me with her. We’ve been in all this press conferences getting to know all this amazing artists. The fashion designer from “Cirque du solei” is one of my personal favorites. I enjoyed all the art and symbolism there is in each single costume, they represent a big part of each character’s story, it’s spectacular. Just like her stained glass windows represent a different story. Sometimes when I travel to different places here in Mexico and visit the churches around the country my mother tells me that the stained glass window was made by my grandma, it’s the best feeling ever, like if I wanted to say it out loud so everyone in the church can hear me, she really makes me proud. The thing is, even though I’ve had the chance to meet so many talented artists, for me, no one seems to be as good as my grandmother, and because I’ve tried what she does believe me, it’s not easy. The different part is not cutting glass and putting it together but, making all this beautiful combinations. My grandmother beautiful windows have inspired me and many people. In one way or another from her masterpieces I started making my own.
