I see a river
A river that flows
That flows forever
When I close my eyes
I see colors
Colors that no one has ever seen
When I close my eyes
I see eyes that look back
Eyes that I’ve seen
And have seen me
When I close my eyes
I wish to see the darkness
But I see the world
A world with lights
I close my eyes, I close them shut
To escape, escape from my reality
Because I go to that river to pray
To pray my demons away
When I close my eyes I see gleaming lights
Lights of color, of hope and love
And I see my feelings
That someone broke
Because the eyes that have seen me
Are the eyes I have loved,
And will continue to love
