I woke up with a refreshed spirit

getting rid of a past I don't even want to hear it

so much I escaped

so much to replace

I am thankful for this day

I saw the sun and felt it's ray

so much to look forward to

so much work to do

I am filled with aspiration and hope

I got out of the pit and held on to the rope

so many loved ones rooting for me

so many reasons to keep being me
