The sky seems dimmer when your not around

I miss that gleam in your eye so profound

I let you welcome me to get attached

Soon as I am secure you tell me to unlatch

Call me anytime is what they say

And when I do your busy anyway

It took everything from me in that very moment just to reach out

The sudden realization of rejection now I want to lash out

They are just words until they are bought to life by action

One kind gesture calls for a reaction

But pulling away is not how you save the day

Through these games our hearts will make us pay

If it is meant to be it will work out you say

But what about all these games that you play

You watch me walk in I watch you walk out

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know this is not what love is all about
