So many times

Folder:
Talks with God

So many times I've stopped to ponder

On life's challenges I face

Confused and sometimes frightened

With the choices that I've made

I try to live HIS spoken word

From the Teachings that HE'S given

But sometimes find myself disgruntled with the life that I am live'n

So many times on bended knee

Before the LORD, I make my plea

That I might see those little things

GOD'S greatest gifts HE'S given me.

A rainbow on a cloudy day

Or silver lining to brighten my way

A Mother and Father are always there

With nurturing love, they unselfishly share

Little children with eyes so bright

Smiles that warm me with sheer delight

Friends and family – some passed on

Memories shared will never be gone

The things we learned of history told

Of life and struggles and love unfold

With each new day, and each New Year

May I recall those things most dear

So at this time of our Thanksgiving

When I've stopped to ponder how I'm living

Many times on bended knee

Will I thank GOD for blessing me?
