Float

Folder:
Young Daze

Let's kiss so you can remember
Everything we used to be
Let our love fall through the ocean
And take over the sea
Let me run my fingers through
The beauty that covers you
Let me caress your skin
While we float further in

I'm drowning in sorrow
And I'm drenched in my tears
Time has left me none to borrow
Only you can take away that fear
What seemed so perfect so long ago
Seemed to have drowned deep in me
Feel me and remember
While we float over and under seas

I'm floating on lost memories
Though distant, they're all I have
Before you get the courage to leave
Tell me that you love me back
While love becomes our fuel,
And our future relies on hope
Holding back good intentions,
Silent words you'll never know

Who am I to tell you?
After so many years have passed
Who am I to ruin happiness?
Without giving it a chance to last
You told me that you loved me
At one time you did care
But who am I told hold that against you,
Knowing that it wouldn't be fair?

Courage has slipped through my fingers
Along with your love that guided me
But when she hurts you and leaves you lonely,
Will that same love float,
And bring you back to me?
