I know a place where the wine flows like rivers
And women send shivers as they whisper in their glass
Here we'll play hopscotch on the rocks and we'll make it
A double-dutch game till we fall in the grass

And we'll die
Of laughter
But our tears will form paths
To the forever after
And we'll dance
To the music
That no one else can hear
Just the wind
How amusing

I know a place where the loved ones are loved
And when push comes to shove you fall in like the rest
Here we will slip on our tongues like a slide
Watered down with the liquor we pretend does the trick

And we'll drown
In sorrow
And our ironic smiles
Wont last until tomorrow
And we'll lean on each other
While we stroll down the street
We're together
Just another

Illusion of happiness
But what does it mean to us
Show me what I need to see
Describe the scene to me
Prescribe the pills I need
To make it make sense to me
Tell me who you want to be
She says "I love you, Believe me"

I know a place where the tattooed are scarred
By the names on their arms they inscribed one drunken night
Here we will etch all our
Promises broken like the skin beneath the needle
The ink too blurred to read

And we'll bleed
The lies out
And the truths will consume us
With guilt, regret and doubt
So we'll give up
We'll give in
To what we don't believe
Lie to ourselves
It's amusing

How we lie about the way we feel
We cry to keep the truth concealed
You're choking on your in-flight meal
I'm flying through my rear windshield
I know a place I lost my face
Accept the pavement's warm embrace
I hope by now that you will see
I love you believe me.
