Another day goes by
Just a breeze within a constant wind
Just a blade of grass among the flowers
Within a field that goes on
As far as the eye can see
But eyes can’t see past the hands of time
Another day goes by
A grain of sand along an endless shore
A glimmer of sunlight
At the peak of the hill we climb
Reminds we can cannot turn back time
Another day goes by
A splinter in the wood
A leaf that’s torn and withered
Falls and hits the ground
An autumn’s day misunderstood
It falls as we do when we die
But no one bothers to look
Another day goes by
Not knowing all the lives it took
Not knowing all the lives it shook
Another day goes by
Not knowing for some their time is up
Another day goes by
A snowflake in a blizzard
A leaf that’s torn and withered
Buried now and long forgotten
Another day goes by
