Gently but inexorably you push

A large red ripe strawberry between my lips

And I accept the rubied jewel

Leaving my mouth open for the sweeter kisses

Which follow as you attempt to retrieve

That which was so recently given

I allow this for I find your combination

Of flavors upon my tongue quite intoxicating

And because I wish to return your gift

As I don’t care for strawberries.
