It would seem the rumors are true
Those horrible things I heard that were done to you
I tried not to listen to them, tried not to hear
Because to me you were very dear
I tried to not let it take over me
But it did and I tried to not let anyone see
And I still just can't believe that what happened to you is true
That someone could do what they did to you
I just can't believe it's true
That what was done to you was done, and that it was done to you
I fall asleep, I have a nightmare
The setting is a dark room
I don't feel well
I feel afraid
I feel tired
I feel sad
I need to be held
This room feels like a tomb
I'm sitting on a bed with you
In the darkened room
Out the window the sun is going down
You stare at me but you don't say a word
Your expression tells it all
And I just stare back at you
You look like you don't feel well
You look like you are tired
You look like you are sad
You look like you want to be held
But neither of us move
Both of us are miserable, in the darkened room
You stare at me; I stare at you
So many words left to be said
So many words I had left to say
I want to live without the hurt, but there is no way
Neither of us says a word, in this dead room
You stare at me; I stare at you
So many words, to you, I had left to say
I want to live without the sadness, but there is no way
It would seem the rumors are true
Those horrible things I heard that were done to you
I tried not to listen to them, tried not to hear
Because to me you would never disappear
Because to me you were very dear
I tried to not let it take over me
But it did and I tried to not let anyone see
And I still just can't believe that what happened to you is true
That someone could do what they did to you
I just can't believe it's true
That what was done to you was done, and that it was done to you
I gave a part of me to you
It was lost, it died with you
I let you in, I let you see
I let you in, to see the deepest parts of what is me
I gave a part of me to you
It was lost, it died with you
I am lost, I am meant to die
I gave a part of me to you
It was lost, it died with you
