earing the sky in two
Is a plane headed to despair
With a sole passenger
Headed to her demise.
Strapped in tightly
In the plane's only seat
Is a desperate young girl
Eager to break free.
She fumbles with
The secure restraints
Twists and turns constantly
Until she's out of her seat.
Rushing to the exit
She realizes it might be hopeless
She's at an altitude much too high
And the plane is near its destination.
There's only one solution
One method of escape.
So she sends up a prayer
And makes a leap of faith.
