Many a year has passed,
Since this war began,
This terrible beast sprang from the darkness,
Enveloping us all in its evil shadow.
Countless have perished under the hot sun,
Pierced by bullets, taken too early.
When will this madness end?
Have we not learned anything from the past?
How many more must die, must give their last breath?!
Why can't we just live in peace?
Aye, why is the question,
But what is the answer?
Soldiers fighting for freedom and justice,
Brave they all are, every single one!
Warriors and heroes!
But why should their lives be cut short,
Should children continue on like this,
Growing up with no mother or father?
When will all this stop?
When will we awake from this horrific nightmare?
