While shadows dance in the sun

Celebrating eternal life

I am reminded of my own mortality more than ever

I know that we will leave this place one day

Heart heavy in my chest as I forget how to breath as I look you in the eye

Those enthralling orbs

The window to your soul

And I see all that matters

All that  I need

Warmth circles me

As we gaze

My breath catches as my muscles freeze

I’m captured

Entrapped by your glow

We circle

Refusing to look away we stay trapped

Trapped for eternity

The hands of time tick on without our approval

The unavoidable will happen

and our shells will be lost

I take comfort though in the knowledge that our shadows

Our shadows will dance

waltz

forever celebrating

The eternal life

Of our

Love
