Walking down the sunset strip
she numbs to the pain of who she is
black miniskirt and dark red lips
she just wants to know true love's kiss.
On her corner she stands
praying for a way out,
Towards her walks a man,
with a golden wedding ring.
She forces her guilt to the back of mind,
She knows he only wants one thing.
Naming her price, the man nods,
and heads towards an expensive suv.
she gets in his car, with pain in her heart
she pretends not to notice the baby seat.
With tossled hair and smudged lips,
she numbs herself to who she is,
working on the sunset strip.
